Things are calm here today in Lake Woebegone...
Or Lake Tuscarora, which is quite a bit closer..
We are recovering from a very laid back, but stimulating Sunday, which was , unhappily, totally devoid of Mckinnis's, as previously promised...
After a really spirited worship time at Crossroads, we hung out at a dinner welcoming the Cases to Crossroads. The food was good, we both ate too much (ended up skipping dinner entirely), and watched as Steve Case became Reverend Case, right before our very eyes!
He got an official certificate and everything. Very cool. And, about time. He'll be preaching for the first time in 2 weeks...can't wait to hear him.
We're loving the new church. The seating is perfect for putting my arm aroud my honey. And Mick has a way of putting things that really stick with you. I can remember every lesson I've heard him preach in the last month, and that's no small miracle!
The word's out, I guess. Doug Bullock sent me a note saying that he heard we switched to CCC. He was very gracious about it. I'm glad that he understands that the mega church concept doesn't work for everybody. I wish him well...he's a great guy.

Anyways....

We will simply hang in here today. And read the other blogs...and hope the loser kids will at least have some comment for us today......!
