Wow!
What a show!
Yesterday, we were treated to an early Christmas present, brought to us by our youngest daughter, Jessie, and husband Jeremy. They bought us tickets to Stomp, a show at the Landmark Theatre here in Syracuse.
I gotta tell ya, this was some show!
The kids in it couldn't have been older than 25 or so, and as we watched the show, we figured out why.
It was like watching a non stop tournament of sound.
Our 2 tickets could have paid for the props they used. Tin cans, trash cans, 55 gallon drums, matchboxes, lighters, flashlights, brooms...any way they could find a rythm, they found it.
Incredible noise! At one point, they were all hanging from the wall, pounding out a rythm on all they could reach, sometimes upside down! Made me tired just watching. But, I couldn't stop moving my feet, my head and my fingers if I was tied down!
Made me feel like a kid again.
They included us in the audience at the end, and it was a blast trying to keep up with the leader as he led us in rythm.
Hey Mckinnis'!
Thanks big time!
P.S. Deb's on a plane today for Becky's house in Charlotte...pray for safe passage, please!!!
YOU GET THE POINT!
