Well.....we had quite a day yesterday...
For a very long time, we have been struggling with our church. A little over a year ago, we moved into a new building, much larger. At about the same time, my daughter and myself were relieved of our duties as worship leaders.
This was hard to take.....we'd been doing music for the church for 10 years....it felt like we were suddenly not good enough for the new church.
Anyways, my heart has not been entirely with the new building, with it's new worship setup.
Yesterday, we attended a service in a church which was seeded by our home church.
It was awesome...immediately felt like home. We know a few of the attendees, they made us feel very much at home...and the worship was great.
Before we left, we were actually invited to join the choir...by the choirmaster herself!
Home.
I guess I'm not really into the mega church concept, like so many others these days.
Our new church is about one quarter the size of the one we're leaving...
Fits perfectly. We're talking about getting involved in church activities....
Excited for the first time in ages.

That's great dad! I am glad that church fits you guys. Sounds a bit like us going on the church plant next year. Nice size church.

Just FYI, I was NOT "relieved of my duty as worship leader." I chose to leave long before that shake-up even took place. I was not satisfied with them, not the other way around. I am happy that you have found someplace where you are more comfortable. Will you still be doing AWANA?
Jess...we lost our job as worship leaders in August...were told we were done even earlier. If it makes you feel better, you can believe what you want, but all the worship leaders were canned but Steve.
