Anyways, what's the big news today? My youngest kid learned the hard way why glass should never be allowed in a house with kids. 2 glass bowls, down the drain...literally!
Jess is definitely my kid, though...she figured out how to fix the mess herself.
Way to go, Jehiqua!
Well, here on Walton's Mountain, things are hardly a stirrin'.
We spent the morning at the gym, spent way too much dough at Sam's club, and now we're back home again...Wow!
Now that's worth reporting!!
Anyways..
The sun, it shines today. Cool, clear, crisp...around 50 degrees...This is our favorite kind of fall day.
So, what am I doing inside writing this silly blahg??
I don't know!!!
So, I guess I'll wrap it up with a little poem thingy:
Lands with skies of Sapphire blue
Reach their spangled arms to you
But as you take the hand and follow
Something makes the happy hollow
Something seems to want to tarnish
All the bright and pretty varnish
On the world as you desire it
Something seems to want to mire it
For happy is not meant to last long
And no depth is found in that song
Which contains no word of sorrow
That song merely tries to borrow
Something from another place
Where is found no human face

Did you write that in 1970, like it said? Or today? I really like it. Oh, and the picture is much better.
I wrote that my senior year in high school...a creative writing class..I hadda do it, the teacher made me!!!
