Hard Times For My Brother
Guys...
I need to ask you for a favor. My brother Phil, who lives in Georgia, and his wife Joyce have had a remarkable month. On April 2nd, his grandson, 16 year old Jamie, broke his neck when he dove into shallow water. At this time he is paralyzed from the chest down. The doctors are hoping for some recovery, but it would take a miracle to see him walk again.
A few days ago, my brother's youngest daughter Debbie, a wife and mother, felt a tingling in her hands. By the end of the day, she could no longer walk, or talk. At the hospital she was diagnosed with tumor inside her spinal chord. If it is Hodgkin's disease, it is treatable. If not...the diagnosis is grim.
Two miracles are needed here. And one more for the incredible tensions put on my brother and his family from the ordeal. They are devout believers.
Please put these folks into your prayers .
Love,

For My Lady..
My own dear mom is gone away
And Heaven bound, for sure
So when I need a mom these days
How do I find a cure?
My lady fair, my dearest one
The days I hurt the most
Are days I find your golden hair
Will chase away the Ghosts
The Ghosts of fear, of loneliness
of hunger and of pain
One touch from you, my sweetest friend
And they are gone again
One kiss from you, one gentle smile
and all is washed away
And once again, I am led to
A cleaner, brighter day
I thank the Lord for many things
Upon His throne above
For making sure my family
Stays safe and warm and loved
For giving us our secure lives
For saving us with grace
For giving our lives meaning
As we look towards His face
But most of all I thank My Lord
For Mothers in my life
My dear and loving daughters
My precious treasured wife
Hey Deb, I couldn't have done any of it without you.
I love you...

THE TERRIBLE TRUTH....
IS FINALLY TOLD.......
Hundreds of years have passed....Since that fateful day.
The small tribe couldn't possibly know what lay ahead of them the day that they decided to settle where no man had ever lived before...the Florida sea-swamp...
It seemed to be ideal for their needs. Fish and game were plentiful. Nobody around to bother you. Aside from the gators, and the airliner sized mosquitos, life was perfect. Until...
How could they, or anyone else have known about the gigantic void lurking directly beneath their encampment? How???
And, so, one fateful night, beneath a moon as full as a turkey's behind, the world ended for them. No warning, just a loud, sucking, smacking sound...and they were gone.
No survivors. None. Nada. Bupkiss. Nary a one. Zip. Zero.
Sad, so you say. And, I say, but wait! The worst is yet to come. For we find, hundreds of years later, that these poor lost souls never made it to their happy hunting grounds. They were captured by the earth and mud, and held forever captive...
Centuries later, the evidence is found in the lone cypress tree that grows in the exact spot of the disaster.
Their silent screams, forever falling on deafened ears....
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DAY 2 - ARMAGEDDON!!!
NAW....NOT REALLY...
It was a little chilly out there this morning, though. 40 degrees, right here in Central Florida....!
It was probably warmer in good ol' Caz.
Not that I'm complaining. It's probably a good thing, this record breaking chill. Gets our blood back to the correct thickness to make our return voyage.
'Course, it's supposed to be back in the mid 80s by the weekend. Sunny too. Hmmmm.
Guess we'll just have to live with that too.
Oh well...
Hey...we haven't paid a lot of attention lately to news and stuff. Is there any? Is Hillary still in it? Is Obama's middle name really "Hitler"?
Has Mccain really od'd on Botox??
Inquiring minds want to know.
Hey, Jess, how much is gas in NY right now? Ask Jeremy to check on deisel prices next time he fills up, will ya? Thanks Shweetie...
Steph, you asked what kind of car to buy. How about, "cheap and good".
And, keep the Honda if they don't offer you much for it. When you buy your new ride, go for max warranty, like a kia or hyundai, and don't tell them you have a trade in until they give you their best price for whatever you buy. Then you'll get an honest price for your Honda. Won't be much, though. Obviously gas mileage should be good, at least 25. OUr Sonata gets that much. I'd recommend it to anyone. Stay away from SUV's. Their resale values are terrible, and their gas mileage usually are much worse than most cars.
'K.
Anyways, Glad Bean is having fun with her barn church. With the strange goings on here, we could use one here...
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......
Okay...
I'm deeply moved, Jess, by your affection for baby wipes. I can honestly say that I've never met a baby wipe I didn't like. They're truly mahvellous, and go well with a well chilled decent chianti...
Work great on zits, too!
ANYWAYS........THASSIT!
LOVESYALL!!!!

TO BLOG, OR NOT TO BLOG...
THAT IS THE QUESTION....
Whether it be nobler to stand firm, and let those gathered round to blog Freely, as they see fit, enlightening all with wit and wisdom,
Or to join the fray, capitulating to the slight loving pressure of those same
Loved ones...
Ahhh...'tis the day,and night of question, never easily answered.
For what does one such as my sad spirit have to blog about, forsooth?
Reaching ever deeper in this miasmic pit of shallowness befits nary a soul..
Nought will come of it, surely as the moon doth rise, and sun doth set..
Yet...Hereith I Goith...
Whoa!!!
What is up with Eastern Hills these days?? We got an email the other day from Doug, and thereby found out that John Bohm is gone!! And, although this may be misinterpreted, it seems like Warren, our second in command pastor, may have taken some kind of demotion...
Wow! The new line up has 3 of four principles new in their roles, including some guy I never even heard of!
Man...maybe we got out just in time!
John Bohm, in my opinion, was the best preacher they had. Better than Doug, at the end, I think. Why he'd leave, I can only guess. Lots of strange stuff going on.
Can't wait to get back to Crossroads.
BTW...in case you kept track of our religious adventures, I no longer lead worship here at the rv resort. The preacher,Donna, went a little farther with the charismatic stuff than me or mom were comfy with. Ever hear of "Holy Laughter"? One Sunday, at the altar call, Donna started laughing hysterically with one of the ladies..I mean, hysterical, vein popping, rolling on the floor laughter. Called it the "Joy of the Lord".
One of the males there summed up my feelings for that, when he looked at her writhing on the floor, and said "nut job".
I like Donna, and enjoyed the fellowship up to that point. But, when I looked up Holy Laughter on the internet, I came across a quote I can believe in. "When you go to church, you don't have to leave your brain at home". Makes sense to me.
I guess the laughing thing hasn't happened since we left, right after Easter, so we may give the service another try. Sad, we were really liking it.
We may head home a little early, if Cherry goes into heat soon. She's showing signs already, and if she starts, we hav about a week to get going.
Honestly, we're close to ready now, so it won't be a huge sacrifice to leave just a little early. (I said maybe, Jess!!!!!)
We're loving Jacob and his calendar, marking off the days...How many years of that beautiful emotion for their grandparents can be left for those kids?? Glad to take it when we can get it!!
Well, that's about all for today, maybe for the week. We'll keep ya'll posted on any future thingmos.
We Love Y'all Huge!!!
