THAT IS THE QUESTION....
Whether it be nobler to stand firm, and let those gathered round to blog Freely, as they see fit, enlightening all with wit and wisdom,
Or to join the fray, capitulating to the slight loving pressure of those same
Loved ones...
Ahhh...'tis the day,and night of question, never easily answered.
For what does one such as my sad spirit have to blog about, forsooth?
Reaching ever deeper in this miasmic pit of shallowness befits nary a soul..
Nought will come of it, surely as the moon doth rise, and sun doth set..
Yet...Hereith I Goith...
Whoa!!!
What is up with Eastern Hills these days?? We got an email the other day from Doug, and thereby found out that John Bohm is gone!! And, although this may be misinterpreted, it seems like Warren, our second in command pastor, may have taken some kind of demotion...
Wow! The new line up has 3 of four principles new in their roles, including some guy I never even heard of!
Man...maybe we got out just in time!
John Bohm, in my opinion, was the best preacher they had. Better than Doug, at the end, I think. Why he'd leave, I can only guess. Lots of strange stuff going on.
Can't wait to get back to Crossroads.
BTW...in case you kept track of our religious adventures, I no longer lead worship here at the rv resort. The preacher,Donna, went a little farther with the charismatic stuff than me or mom were comfy with. Ever hear of "Holy Laughter"? One Sunday, at the altar call, Donna started laughing hysterically with one of the ladies..I mean, hysterical, vein popping, rolling on the floor laughter. Called it the "Joy of the Lord".
One of the males there summed up my feelings for that, when he looked at her writhing on the floor, and said "nut job".
I like Donna, and enjoyed the fellowship up to that point. But, when I looked up Holy Laughter on the internet, I came across a quote I can believe in. "When you go to church, you don't have to leave your brain at home". Makes sense to me.
I guess the laughing thing hasn't happened since we left, right after Easter, so we may give the service another try. Sad, we were really liking it.
We may head home a little early, if Cherry goes into heat soon. She's showing signs already, and if she starts, we hav about a week to get going.
Honestly, we're close to ready now, so it won't be a huge sacrifice to leave just a little early. (I said maybe, Jess!!!!!)
We're loving Jacob and his calendar, marking off the days...How many years of that beautiful emotion for their grandparents can be left for those kids?? Glad to take it when we can get it!!
Well, that's about all for today, maybe for the week. We'll keep ya'll posted on any future thingmos.
We Love Y'all Huge!!!

Hallelujah! You are alive! I was beginning to wonder if it was really you on the end of the phone or maybe somebody else. But no, this blog proves it for sure! Nobody but dad could have written this one! Glad to have you back. I have no idea who those people from Eastern Hills are, so no insight here!:) Don't go back to the laughter church. I think it sounds a little overboard, even for me!:)
God would never endorse checking your brain at the door. That's why Paul was so tough on those who spoke in tongues but didn't translate for the congregation. Sounds like a bunch of whooey to me. Satan just likes to make humans look really silly. She'll be barking and meowing "in the Spirit" next.
Glad to see you still have the poetry in you, dad. Your post speaks to a whole generation of computer geeks caught up in your same dilemma. Really, it's timeless. Thank God you got over it and freaking WROTE something for God's sake, you lazy sack. Love, Steph
Gee. Tanks, kids..
pop
I am shocked and speechless. You actually wrote something! I am amazed! Very nice blog. No, I understand that you are not definitely coming home early. At this point, it wouldn't even be that early, would it? Whenever you get here, we'll be blessed by your presence.
